In the Swiss town of Brugg, under the commission of the company Wires & Bites, we conducted testing of a cable structure intended for use in boreholes. The tests were carried out using our specialized equipment, through which we examined the mechanical, optical, and electrical properties of the cable. Since this region is known for the production and testing of various high-tech cables, we performed the tests at several locations and across multiple companies.
The reason for choosing this particular laboratory was the end customer’s requirement to ensure the highest possible level of objectivity by conducting tests through accredited, independent organizations. This decision proved valuable, as it provided insights we hadn’t previously had, especially regarding the mechanical properties of the cable. The results confirmed our expectations, and we will use these new insights to develop new ideas, propose new solutions, and improve the implementation of future cable designs. This project has opened the door to further collaboration with Swiss companies, and we expect it will further strengthen our position in the field of advanced fiber optic and cable technologies.
